Hi Guys.

Which version should I deploy in our company?

The biggest difference I gain form here is that the enterprise version has the support for 'Long-Term Servicing Branch'.

Any idea what version you guys have deployed?

I'm thinking I will go Pro as these things are not so critical in our company.

to have enterprise you have to have a Microsoft agreement X amount of users i believe the amount of users is about to rise as well.

We've got Pro rolled out across the company and have done for the last few months, hasn't caused any real headaches so far.

What does your licensing say you can use? :P

We had to deploy Enterprise recently as we started to use DirectAccess and Bitlocker on our laptops, so we are still running Pro on desktops but Enterprise on laptops.

Hmm we seem to have both.

I have 100 MAK keys for either. We seem to have used up 3 of the Enterprise license already, but to be honest I think Pro is the one for us as we don't need the advanced features.

I am going to go about adding the license to our KMS server. As we have MAK keys, will this work?

If you don't know why you want/need Enterprise then you most likely don't need it.

Having laptop users and being able to use DirectAccess is worth the price of admission for me.

Enterprise usually isn't worth the extra cost, unless you need something very specific from it. But even then, theres usually 3rd party tools which are better.

MS has tried to force businesses to buy it by preventing windows store from being disabled in GP in Pro (in a recent update). But now people are just firewalling it instead :P
