Trying to run Win 10 technical preview using Virtual box.

The cpu is a Q8200. During the install I get some error which basically means it cant install because the cpu does not support Virtualization Technology.

Anyway round this?

If the CPU doesn't support virtualisation - which according to Intel ARK it does not - there's no way you can create a VM that I am aware of. Dual booting is likely your best option.

Windows 10 will run in a VM, I run it on virtual box myself but find it incredibly slow even compared to Win7/8/8.1 on a VM.

Seems to work fine for me.

Not sure how much is Windows 10 being in testing as I've only run it in a VM but took a couple of tries to get a successful installation, performance is much more varied than XP through to 8 in a VM and a few times its dumped me to a black (dos style) screen with flashing cursor then popped up something like "your PC needs rebooting".

EDIT: Just done a clean install of 10074 into a VM while I didn't encounter the previous installation issues it still took 2 attempts to get it to install :S
