Win 10 waking problem

PC won't wake from sleep mode. Checked that the keyboard / mouse wake function is enabled and fast start is turned on. Goes into sleep mode then half wakes in that power goes to keyboard and mouse but then stops there. Any thoughts on this?

Have you got the latest BIOS and drivers installed? Sometimes a specific piece of hardware can prevent it and only trial and error can determine which.

Yes, updated BIOS last week and latest drivers installed.

It might be worth unplugging any non-essential USB devices and see if this helps. TBH I never use sleep on my main PC, only my laptop.

Un-plugged all apart from mouse/keyboard still no joy.

Are you overclocking at all? If so, try at stock.

Had similar issue a year ago, although not with a PC but with my laptop. Question to you. The comp won't wake. What happens next. Do you have to use cold switch off to revive it? Did you check processor temperature and other vital parts temperature? Changes the device is overheating and saves itself from inevitable death? Mine was like that and only stopped when I changed the paste on the processor's cooler. So I am not sure this is what happenes to you comp, but try to at least exclude any overheating issues too. Check the parts temperature.

Is it that it doesn't wake or that the GPU / monitor is not providing / getting a signal.?
Iirc I had this at one time where I needed to change connections. I think that I went from DP to HDMI when that was an issue.

Vimes, thanks for the suggestion. Using HDMI already but swapped over to DP - still the same. Think I might just have to live with it.

i've heard fast start is nowt but trouble. i'd turn that off if i were you, unless those extra nanoseconds of time are vital.

^^^ Agree, tend to leave off Fast Start - tends to be problematic more than it benefits. At least that is what I believe.

At least you tried with the connection, hope that you have the appropriate, not just generic, monitor drivers installed.

Are you sure tho that it is not waking up and not just the display side of things not working...?
I take it that you are using sleep and have disabled hibernation..?
