I am having problems with a windows 2000 laptop, just after i logon the svchost.exe error pops up (even if im disconencted from the network), it also comes up a few times when using internet explorer.
I suspected the MS Blaster worm but ive done a full AVG scan, and installed the "Windows2000-KB823980-x86-ENU" patch, and it still occurs.

Its an old Win2k Install with SP 5 installed. I cannot run windows update, because this keeps popping up, and results in windows update registration errors.
Any ideas?
