win 7 32 or 64 bit?

just confused on how you know which to install?

i think some1 said that 64bit supports over 2gig ram or something?

if some1 could inform me would be very happy

64bit if your CPU is 64 bit capable

If you have more than 4Gb RAM Windows will see it all and make use of it.

So this version if you can.

out of intrest. im guessing AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 245 2.90GHz (Socket AM3) would use 64bit?

Yes it will. Use the 64bit version.

If you google your CPU you will be able to find out if it the CPU is 64 bit capable.

If you have less than 2Gb of Ram probably still worth going x64 only because it's future proof as x86 (32 bit) will always limit you to 3Gb.

Yeah, that's fine for the 64-bit version. That's what I am currently running, and it seems fine with only 2GB RAM!! I think Microsoft might actually recommend 4GB as a minimum and I was about to oblige... then RAM prices went through the roof!

Other than that, I have found NO problems with any programs or games on Win7-64, despite migrating from XP 32-bit.
