Hi Guys,

I've recently put together a Core i5 based PC:

CPU - intel core i5 750
RAM - 4GB 1333mhz Kingston value
HDD - 500GB Weston Digital
PSU - Antec 700watt
MOBO - ASUS P7P55D

Could I get some opinions as to whether I should put 32 or 64 bit Windows 7. People with experience of both OS's, are the drivers for software/hardware a problem?

Thanks

If you want all of your RAM to be effective, you will need 64 bit as 32bit will only recognise 3.3GB of RAM IIRC

Go with the 64 Bit version. You won't have any problem with drivers as Windows 7 has excellent support for just about every bit of hardware you could wish to use.

You'd have to be stupid to install a 32-bit o/s on that system! Unnecessarily crippling your system. 64-bit without a shadow of a doubt.

Should I install the 64bit of MS office 2010 or 32bit or simply go with Ms Office 2007 (not used 2010 that much)?

Plus I'm using a RTM version of Win 7 (from technet).
Should this version be used for home use (i.e. is it stable enough, its the release from 2009).

Thanks

Unless you use massive spreadsheets go with the 32bit version of Office. This is also MS's recommendation.
