Win 7 Aero crash !?

Im playing games in Windowed mode (Everquest2) And twice now in the past week the screen will flash black for a millisecond then will coem back and It appears Aero has crashed.

I go down to about 10fps from 60 and have to reboot to fix it.

Any idea where i could start looking for a fix?

I run a 4870 with the latest drivers

Im thinking its 1 of 3 things...

GFX drivers.
Win 7 corruption
Heat issue !?

Any ideas??

THere is no info i can see in any system logs or error reports.

I've had a similar issue with Nvidia drivers just disappearing. Rebooting fixed it and it hasn't happened again since. What drivers are you using?

I've had the same in built 7229 once. I've got an nvidia 8800 gts. reboot sorted it. It's the only problem I've had with this OS

Mine did it again last night. One thing I've noticed that both times I've experienced this, it happens at the stroke of midnight
