Think it may depend on the size of the packet. I ordered a HDD at the weekend for OcUK and the "free delivery for forum users" option came up as Royal Mail.

To their credit RM managed to deliver "next day" - order would have been dispatched on monday and it arrived sometime tuesday afternoon.
 
Mine not arrived earlier. Just rang *!competitor!* and they stated it will arrive by royal mail and not a courier but they say they ahve set a plan up so it will arrive

I went for express delivery with my etailer, only to find out in the last few mins that it has dispatched via RM special delivery..

no idea when it will arive now (even with the tracking number), no idea whythey didnt send it via courier

not a happy bunny :mad:

Mine arrived this morning :)

Seems strange that to install you run windows then open the disk! Thought i would need to boot from CD in the BIOS.

Will see when i get home. Now the afternoons going to drag!
 
seems like the the natives in the jungle are busy licking their wounnds from the elite hounds to ship my copy....

bin that- I knew I shouldn't have wronged them - it's on route for del tomorrow.

Mine's not arrived today, although it was dispatched yesterday.


Slight pain, but I've been using W7 on my workstation and laptop for the last 6 months anyway.

RM Special Delivery will not be affected by the strike

Actually, they will not guarantee delivery.

Delivering mail – We’ll continue to prioritise Special Delivery™ and Royal Mail Tracked™ mail for delivery on strike days, however the nature of the CWU action means we cannot guarantee doing so. In order to provide customers with clear guidance on service, we will be removing the Special Delivery guarantee for items posted on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd which would be due for delivery on Friday 23rd October and Saturday 24th respectively. We will restore the guarantee of delivery as soon as we can be sure we can honour the service promise. We expect to be able to do this by Monday 26th October.

Tummy is now running Windows 7 :)

Just reinstalling my games / steam and copying music over, I wanted a clean install of everything! Just a bit time consuming.

Really enjoying it so far, feels much smoother and quicker then Vista, and looks a lot nicer.
