Hi all,
Considering formatting and re-installing windows soon. In the past, to backup my data I've just copied the files from the drive to my external drive manually.
But I'm sure there must be an easier way, and now seems a good time to find out about it. I've been looking at Win 7 Backup & Restore. Is this a good way to do it? Or is there a better way?
Also I presume that it's a good idea to do fresh installs of programs, rather than backing them and their data up (if that's even possible)?
So the process would go:
- Backup with Win7 Backup & Restore
- Format HDD
- Install Win7
- Restore with Win7 Backup & Restore
Then my PC should be the same, except programs. Correct?
Thanks
