Hi all,
So I've mirrored my OS partition to another drive using the Win 7 disk management screen. This was working fine the day I did it, but today I've found that the PC won't boot to either hard drive, and gets stuck on the 'Verifying DMI' bit after POSTing.
I can boot to the Windows 7 DVD and when I go to recovery options it picks up 2 installations, Windows 7 and Windows 7 - secondary plex. Both on C: as its a software RAID1, but really its on 2 drives. When I try to get to the recovery tools, for both of these installations, it says 'This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair'.
It is the right DVD so I'm not sure why this is happening, I can't even get to the recovery console so I can't try fixmbr etc. Can anyone help me with this? Is there another way to boot to a recovery console?
