Getting the above error when I try to do a clean install of Win 7 onto my shiny new Crucial SSD. It also takes 20+ minutes to go from the "Windows is starting" screen (with the pulsing windows logo after the DVD has booted) to the "setup is starting" screen.
Seems like something is up with the drive controller on my motherboard (ASUS P5N32-E SLI PLUS) but with the latest bios installed I don't know what else I can do? Didn't think SSD drives needed any extra drivers or anything like that?
I also tried running the install off the DVD without any hard drives connected at power on, then hot plugging in the SSD once the setup prog had started. Doing this the setup prog races through the pulsing logo screen v quickly (1 or 2 secs) but after connecting the drive, while setup can see it and create a partition, format it etc, it tells me that my computer can't boot from this drive so Win 7 can't be installed here.
Pulling my hair out here so any suggestions much appreciated!
