am getting the following error message when I first boot up win 7 64bit

A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Microsoft .NET Framework NGEN v4.0.30319_X86 service to connect.

A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Microsoft .NET Framework NGEN v4.0.30319_X64 service to connect.

the system hangs for up to 5 minutes once it gets to the desktop, then it works fine all day (unless I have to reboot at all and then the same happens again)

does anyone have any ideas when the issue is and how to fix it???

I only built the system at the beginning of the year and this issue has only just started in the last week

havent tried that, but shouldnt that be covered by windows updates??

You would have thought so. But I had to update mine a few weeks ago, as I was trying to install something, but was unable to because my .NET framework was out dated.
I have framework 4, just checked, it was 20/03/13 when I installed it.

I've check my version and its framework 4 from 10/03/13

the one on microsofts site is dated as being publish in 2011, so it cant be that can it??

have updated to 4.5, has got rid of that error, but now I'm getting the following

The server {06622D85-6856-4460-8DE1-A81921B41C4B} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Windows Error Reporting Service service to connect.

any ideas??

yeap, thats all I can think of now.
will give it a try tonight and hope that sorts it out, otherwise its a reinstall I think :(

I didnt get a chance to do a windows repair last night

but I did discover this morning that if I disconnect the system from my router, then boot up it doesnt hang at all... then I plug it back in and theres no issue at all

so there must be a network setting somewhere thats causing this???

any ideas?

From what you have said, it does seem to be an issue with connecting to a server.

I would suggest you disconnect from your router, then let windows 7 load.
A you stated when you did this there was no 'hang' which only seems to happen due to it awaiting a connection.

I would then re-connect your router see if all connects fine and try re-updating windows 7 see if that fixes the issue!
