Win 7 keeps minimizing windows

It all started yesterday. Everything game, every video, and nearly every application minimizing after so many seconds. I can't find out what the culprit is. This is a fresh install of Windows 7 64 with my GTX 570 and all had been fine for a week until yesterday.

I updated Nvidia drivers yesterday afternoon to see if that would change anything and it didn't. Also, in FireFox or Internet Explorer when I am typing the cursor disappears not allowing me to type and I have to click the screen/window again. Even typing this. Grrr.

I looked at all the Sticky key options and they were still all disabled as I left them, so it doesn't seem to be those. I tried also setting my theme to classic thinking it was some weird graphical problem with the windows, but that too hasn't helped.

I googled this problem and there seems to be other people who have this problem but some it is dated a year back and some of their experiences seem slightly different from mine and I haven't seen a solution to those problems either.

Any idea?

Virus? Or it could be a corrupt driver in the Graphics Card install. Have you check for viruses? When I get this type of problem, I check my system for viruses.

Its usually caused by an application running in the tray or background, have you made any software updates recently? Try killing tasks running under your username to see if you can pinpoint one that is the cause.

something will be stealing focus i expect; comodo firewall was my thief when i had this issue

Currently still haven't found the culprit. Although at present I am checking each individual process just to be sure. I have ran 3 different types of antivirus but they didn't pick up anything.

It has subsided a little lately for some bizarre reason but it still happens.

Try using a Malware tracking program, such as Malwarebytes.
