Im finally going to upgrade my stepdaughters pc today to Win7, but Im confused on the best permission level to set now that it is UAC controlled.
I want her to be able to do most things, but not to install software as she is 10 and just clicks yes to anything
Whats the best way to restrict her and yet give her a usable pc experience?
Any good articles to read through etc etc..

She should be fine with a standard user account, which will prevent her from installing most things and stop her hosing the install. She'll generally only be able to delete files she creates. Just make sure automatic updates, firewall and AV are running and that things like flash player are installed and it will be fine.

If she does come running and says "I need game "X" installing" just verify where it has come from.

there is a section in parental control within user accounts that lets you select which programs you do and don't want her to use + for each day of the week you can set a start and finish time for when she can use the computer on her account which is pretty good if you want her off the pc after a certain time
