win 7 pro downgrade

ok I have Win XP pro media (oem) and a W7 pro laptop,

whats the process to legitametly get XP onto the laptop and activated?

Assuming the Laptop came with 7 pre-installed, simply install XP using the 7 key. In the likely event it doesn't activate, call MS and let them know what you are doing. They should provide you with a single-use activation key.

Any particular reason you are downgrading? MS kills a kitten every time someone installs XP.
