Win 7 stuck in boot loop - reinstall?

Hi, Win 7 crashed on me. There was a blue screen with a memory dump (I think?) and then it crashed.

I think it then tried to resume from system restore but then it crashed.

I then tried to reboot in 'repair mode' as opposed to 'start windows normally'. Windows tries to repair the problem but then it goes to a light blue screen. I then just turn it off.

So, I think I'm going to have to reinstall Win 7 but I'm worried about losing the data on the HDD, which is definitely a possibility. It's a single terabyte disk with a partitions for C: drive and storage for D: drive.

So, I'm going to get a new HDD to reinstall Win 7 on to; I was thinking maybe an SSD? That won't affect the win 7 install, right? It'll be the same MOBO.

Last night and this morning, after several attempts to reboot into the desktop, after several attempts at startup repair, just prior to rushing out to purchase a new SSD/HDD, I tried 'start windows normally' one last time, and, lo and behold, it booted into desktop without any issues. Hooray!

My HDD may be cluttered. Just before the crash, I had several browser windows open, which had charts running, which suggests the issue is RAM related. Anyway, here's the troubleshooting file:

Mmm, I recently installed the new yahoo msgr chat. After I rebooted successfully earlier, the msgr was gone - I think windows repair had deleted it. I reinstalled it and not long after I got another crash.

Anyway, it's back up and running. Let's see. It's probably a driver issue but AFAIK all my drivers are up to date.
