Win 7 usb mouse/keyboard problem

Hi all,

I have a small issue.

If I leave my PC for a while it enters sleep mode, now, upon returning it used to sometimes not be connected to the internet. I'd have to disable the card and then enable it for it to work.

However, over the last 3 days I've come back, hit the mouse to wake the PC up and the keyboard and mouse just totally lose power resulting in me having to reset the PC

Any ideas on what to look at? It's been running Win7 64 bit now for 4-5 months and this is the first time it has happened.

The system is probably just reloading the driver for the mouse and keyboard. Even on high end systems, I've seen it take 10, even up to 15 minutes before the mouse and keyboard were functional again.

update to the latest bios and look for updated mobo drivers.
