win 7 vs win 8

i know win 8 is gaining people a few fps per games but my main concerns are i use pcsx2, dolphin, xbmc and steam a lot. does anyone know if win 8 plays as nicely with these apps as win 7 or am i better off getting home win 7?

Wrong section mate, however, i went from windows 7 ultimate to windows 8 pro and have had no problems with steam or xbmc or any of the other software/apps i use, its all down to personal taste and how you get on with the new lay out.
There is a big update coming for windows 8 so i would hold off if i was you, just wait and see what the score is after this service pack.

You'll need to list the games but generally if they're recent games, last few years you'll have no issues with them, it's older games that MAY have a problem.

Personally I moved from Windows 7 pro to Windows 8 and had no issues with any of my games.

All my games work fine apart from the odd ones which use Games For Windows Live.
