Win 7 weirdness

Been using this install of win 7 for about a month with no issues but today I get this:

I have no ideas if this is a font issues, gfx issue or what but it is very weird. It happens in all apps, and usually goes away when I move the mouse, then re-appears again.

Very weird. Any ideas?

First guess would be GFX card.

Does not look like a windows 7 issue to me, but i could be wrong.

Yep, all the drivers got pulled automatically from windows update. Its a notebook im using with just onboard gfx.

yes they would, the print-screen function grabs the screenframe after it's been processed by the graphics card, so processing weirdness like the OP's got would appear in print screen.

try updating the graphics to the most recent ones from the manufacturers website.
it definitely looks like a graphics card issue to me, by the way.

does it happen in the standard theme or just in the Aero theme?
EDIT: If it's just in the aero theme, try using the vista driver from the intel download center

I will give that a try. Haven't seen the problem now for 10mins so it is quite intermittent.

You're not the only one with problems with Win7 Aero on intel GMA graphics, if you google it you'll see quite a few threads elsewhere about it and the intel vista driver normally sorts the problem out.

I have gone back to the Basic theme to see if that helps any.
