win 8.1 help.

Hello. I updated my win 8 to 8.1 last week or so and it looks like there are still a few problems. For me at least! Is anyone getting any problems with there TV cards?, i have a BGT 3630 card that worked fine with win 8. But after updating to 8.1 WMC cannot find any channels now. The signal is fine as it also feeds my bedroom tv. The card is also fine as i have tried it in my PC with win 7 os .and it works fine too. I have also tried the updated driver supporting win 8.1but its still not working. Any ideas on this problem?

Delete the tuners and reinstall?

Done that too. Even tried it in a different pci-e slot

That windows 8.1 is still Beta, anything can, and will go wrong. Better off going back to win 8.

Thats what i would like to do but it looks like you can't unless you do a re-install of win 8 then i will have to install all my programs again. What a pain.

You'll probably have to do that anyway. The betas always time out eventually, and they always need to be wiped and reinstalled. You can't just upgrade to the final version if it follows the pattern of the Windows 7/8 betas.

Update on this thread.

Well after reinstalling the card in my main PC with win 8.1 on for some unknown reason it worked fine, so I can only assume there was a connection problem of some sort but god knows where as I re-seated the card before having to try it in my other pc. All I need to fix now is my mouse issue posted in another thread. :rolleyes:
