Win 8.1 IE in tablet mode - how do I return to the home tabs

Easy in desktop mode - click on the little house to get the home tabs - how do I do this in the Tablet mode?

Please - it's driving me mad !!!!!!

I don't think you can unfortunately. There isn't an equivalent of the home button in the metro version.

run the desktop version and press f11 to go fullscreen. job done.

Who uses home. Click in the bar and it'll have frequent sites or save it as a fav.

That's called charms bar

As for the option. Its just what page ie loads at start. Just click on the url var and all your most frequent pages will be displayed anyway.
Ie could do with more customisation options. But no home button isn't really an issue, when you have frequent and favorite bars.

if you check the wording of the option, it does specifically say about pages to load when it starts.

What does it mean "loads when it starts" if it not when I click on its icon on the "metro page"

I found it difficult to sign out of skype once opened - I don't want to leave that running all of the time!
