Hi all,

I have a small problem with the combination of Windows 8.1 and the intel HD3000. at this moment I'm wishing I hadn't upgraded to 8.1 from 8, I had zero problems before with my i3 laptop running xbmc to my sony LED.

The problems arose as soon as I upgraded, the resolution is stating that its running at 1920x1080 but everything looks to be at a much lower res, everything is massive and blurry and clearly low res. I've booted into Linux just to make sure and everything is at it should be there.

I've tried the very latest drivers which I'm on now as well as numerous older drivers, nothing helps! Short of holding tight for a new driver release I don't know what I can do. I would just use Linux but I have XBMC set up so perfectly on my windows install that the thought of having to do it all again isn't great.

Anybody have any ideas or anything I can try? it doesn't seem to be an uncommon problem with the HD3000 since the 8.1 update, others seem to be suffering to a degree.

Thanks so much asim18, I just moved it all the way down to small and it seems fine now, I had no idea about that setting, my google skills are clearly lacking, its explained well on numerous sites :)
