I have Windows 8.1. I run two screens 1280x1024 and 1920x1200 using extended desktop with the larger screen as my main display.
When Windows restarts it seems often, but not always, to boot up using a resolution for my main screen that is not supported. So I can't log in or do anything. I either reboot several times or if this doesn't work disconnect the monitor before restarting.
Is there a better way of handling the situation?
My Graphics card is AMD Radeon HD7800 more detail here
System Summary
(At bootup until Windows loads I see the startup stuff repeated on both screens.)
