I upgraded from the Evaluation version to the Pro back in January. I used the key they gave me to activate the Upgrade. Then the other day, I was having a play,(still use Win 7 most of the time) to get familiar with Win 8, when I noticed in my mailbox the Invoice from MS. But the key was different to the one already activated.
So I created a partition on a hdd and set about installing Win 8. First the Evaluation, then using the Upgrade iso, installed in windows. I entered the key from my invoice and activated it. So it now appears I got 2 copies of Win 8 pro for the price of 1.
Now, that is a nice bonus.:D
 
I installed windows 8 last night,

What a pain in the butt. Taking out my gpu as i was getting the common black screen problem on installation that many people had.

All working fine now though, it's obviously windows 7 but with the long way round of doing simple tasks... I'll keep using it for now...

ok so after a few days, i've found myself not missing the start menu, and quite liking the new windows 8.. it feels smoother, a little sharper and although MS seem to have added extra steps to getting things done it's a nice experience to use.. metro is clean fast and make easy access for my most used stuff.

i also like the idea that i can connect to the store and download some of my games that i've played on my phone.:o

so far so good, although i am still thinking of doing a multi OS boot with windows 7... just because.

and yea, sell the copy :P
