win 8 needs reactivation after media centre code

anyone know a work around I installed win8 and got the free media centre key added it now it says win8 is not activated, I read it does it if you do a fresh install using an upgrade dvd ?

I has not said i'm doing anything illegal just worried incase it locks me out, when I try and activate it just errors out.

Had this happen to me last week,you don't need to do a fresh install i used the phone to activate it,i can remember the exact procedure i used

I have yet to use Windows 8, but does one need this hassle to carry out functions that the OS should do anyway without means of various codes? I'll stick with Windows 7 thanks.

I had this happen also, I just restarted and it activated itself again.

about to build a new pc you guys know what the win8 reactivation is like cause old pc has win8 just want to install on new throw old away
and if it works does it carry the media center over as well ??
