I Know I know...
Its an old tin can with 128MB of RAM but its a pc my mate has used for his business since Noah and the software he uses for cutting vinyl only runs on Win 98. Sooo..
He has several pcs and a couple of macs ona network for his business including the said tin can. All been fine until yesterday and it has disappeared from the network but still gets online. It never actually goes online but we just tested it today to see if it was anything obvious like the LAN card etc.
I have checked the settings but it keeps coming up with the message not on the network. I cant even see itself on the actual "Neighbourhood Network" .
I have looked online and can find nothing else obvious, but could someone maybe shed a light on something I may be missing. I have managed to find a driver to makes USB sticks work so he has a temporary solution.
I have also said he needs to stop being a tightwad and get newer kit and software but that doesn't solve the immediate problem.
Thanks
