Win CE head unit Nav/sound issue

Hi guys,

I have recently fitted a Erisin Win CE head unit into my E39 5 series and it seems to be working just fine (radio, Bluetooth, DVD etc) but I do have an issue while using the GPS navigation. Basically when navigating the radio plays until a voice command is given, but occasionally when the command is giving there will be a very loud CRACK sound that comes through the speakers, it is intermittent and seems to happen at random but it is very loud and makes me jump!

When just listening to the radio or music it doesn't do it, it only happens when the navigation speaks.

I know this thread is a bit of a long shot but I thought it was worth a try to see if anyone had a similar experience or suggestion?

Doesn't really get to the bottom of the "crack" but on my Andrive unit there's an option to turn off GPS Sound.

I don't like the GPS sounds, I find them a little annoying, the above may help, however if you're still wanting the audio guidance then I can't really help!

Thanks for the reply mate.

Its not the ideal solution but it is something to fall back on if I cant sort it another way.
