Win SMP client..

The Windows SMP client is a total waste of time. I can run the WinSMP client on my qua d and get 1700-1900ppd if I'm lucky. On the exact same machine, I run two Ubuntu VMs each running a Linux SMP client and get upwards of 5000ppd. Why would you want to run the Windows client?

Because I dont want the hassle of setting up the linux clients. I get between 2500 and 3500 ppd depending on project using wsmp on a q9450 @ 3.6 ghz, I know its not perfect but I WANT the wsmp client., thats why I started this thread.

I had nothing but trouble trying to get two Ubuntu VM's working together, even when they were working, they required constant attention.

My main rig should be able to pull 10k ppd with two linux clients and the GPU2, if the linux SMP clients actually folded for more than a few hours at a time.

The GPU is so stable, I've yet to have a problem with.

Offtopic: What board you on to get 3.6 GHz?

Asus P5K premium. Will hit 4 Gb but has to go to insane volts after 470 fsb (CPU limited) Is currently running at stock volts 3.65 (not quite true as overvolts very slightly, cpu VID 1.2, currently 1.225) 32 degrees fully loaded under water.

The board was brought out to celebrate Asus's 18th birthday so is very well made, as you would expect, very high build/component quality. Thats why it holds its price in the face of the newer boards. I highly recommend it.
