Win Vista - Min Spec for Laptop

Hi All

Can you get away with just 1GB of RAM on your laptop for Vista?

If you are just going to use your laptop for surfing and Office, will 1GB RAM suffice and what do you think the minimum processor spec for such usage is? I don't want to get held up by the laptop, and I want the laptop to be reasonably responsive.

2Gb is so cheap these days ?
