Hi all,
Fixing a computer for someone which is having a problem booting to Vista. It is coming up saying ntfs.sys is corrupted/missing.
I have booted to recovery options, let it try to fix automatically, which it cant.
I have copied manually ntfs.sys from the cd to the hard drive, which hasnt worked.
I have run a disk check which has come back ok.
I have run a memory check which has come back ok.
One strange thing is that every so often it will just freeze for a few seconds then carry on. This is in recovery console.
Any ideas guys? Reinstalling isnt really an option at the moment.
