win vista ultimate

Hi,

How difficult is to reinstall win vista but in FRENCH? if you don't speak a word of it?

Just change the language settings

that wont set the entire operating system including programs that were installed in english change to french..

I think you need to reformat and install in french so "everything inc all options the lot" are entirely in french..

some who has done this please clarify..

Well, you could always sit there with two computers, one running the install (in French) and the other with Google Translate/AltaVista BabelFish) and type in any messages you don't understand so get a vague idea of what it's try to tell you.

Thinking about it for a moment though, most of the steps during install are pretty explanatory, partitioning, entering CD key etc.

thats exactly what im thinking...

i found posts on google that state although the OS are the same in type they are different obvisiously because of language so a fresh reinstall is a must..

i just wonder how things work with drivers?

the laptop is a english laptop made for UK use..

hmmmm perhaps the only way to find out is to try ..
