Hi

I've got Win 7 up and running but want to add Win xp to the virtual machine.

I have a win xp pro + SP1 disc. Do I need to slipstream SP 2 to this disk and the slipstream SP3 to to the slipstreamed Win xp pro + SP1 and 2 disc. Hope that makes sense.

I've read that you can skip SP2 if you have SP1a but mine only says "SP1".

Thanks for any help
Cheers

Hi

I've tried that but but it didn't work for me. I've ran the prog that chacks that the pc is compatible to virtualisation and mine was ok.

I downloaded Virtual PC 2007 and basically I need to tell this where my xp installation is (as a .ISO) but I want to slipstream the updates first.

I give it a go and see what happens

If you have a Windows XP SP1 disc then you can slipstream SP3 in fine, you can skip SP2.

Slightly off topic, but it's worthing knowing that this is not the case with Vista; you need to install all service packs consecutively.
