Quick question, is there a version of WinXP SP3 that I can install on top of a bade XP Pro install. Last night in preparation for installing Grid I decided to regress to base install of XP from CD (well an image of an install I performed earlier) and the apply SP3. When doing this it told me I needed SP1/2 to be present first so I went to am image that had that and continued so I could get Grid installed.
Been looking around MS website today and can’t find a clear answer, the stand-alone package lists requirements “Supported Operating Systems: Windows XP Home Edition ; Windows XP Professional Edition ; Windows XP Service Pack 1; Windows XP Service Pack 2”.
So does anyone know if there is a complete SP3 package that can go over a base install? Or do I have to slipstream it to accomplish this?
