Win10 1151 update reset nvidia defaults?

That is normal.
Sometimes it installs older drivers as well, so use Geforce experience to check for updates.

I done similar thing to my PC with 2xfury xs. Some of the driver settings got reset even if driver version did not change. Also annoyingly I lost huge amount of performance in American Truck Simulator due to updated windows 10.
Before the update I could run the game max settings at 4k with 125% scaling. The game was very smooth be it in the city or in the fields. No stuttering no other crap. I was so happy I thought devs worked wonders on that engine since its same engine powering ETS2, which is a complete stutter fest for me.
But then, I updated windows to latest build, and bang, 4k is completely unplayable and even at 1080p 100% scaling it is same as ETS2 - a stutter fest. I have no idea WTF they 'improved' with the new builds, but I was not a huge fan of it(especially when they removed window color selection and left some boring colors). Funilly enough other games were not affected.
