Hi
Yet again Win10 told me it needs to shut down due to an error, startup repair failed to find it fix anything. Can't start windows, automatic repair does nothing, none of the advanced options work.

Just prior to this happening I'd swapped GPU, took out an old amd card, put in a gtx 750, ingitbthe error while searching for updated drivers (I didn't note any error codes, just said there was a problem with the PC).

This has happened about 4 times in 2 years now, only option is format & reinstall Win10. I keep all data on a separate HDD for this reason. I've Anytrird all sorts of stuff in the past in cmd prompt, nothing worked before.

Thoughts? Thank you.

I was just thinking it could be bad sectors, and a clean install hides them for a while.

I would run a App to test smart status etc.

Faulty System Memory can also cause Windows corruption and a lot of weird things that you would not think it would at first.

Then again it could be dodgy PSU, you see how it is hard to tell esp form here?

Yeah, not easy to diagnose remotely. If it was faulty psu, memory etc then shouldn't the fault reoccur much more regularly?

Was planning an upgrade but circumstances have just changed so cash diverted elsewhere, sticking with this system until next summer, so looks like another OS reinstall.

I thought maybe something went wrong with driver update for the 750ti, so I tried booting I to safe mode with networking, but it won't even do that.

One if the errors I did get on a reboot was 'bad system config error' or words to that effect.
