Win10 Update mess up audio

Hey had a win10 update today and ever since all my audio sounds tinny and horrible from streams to youtube videos does anyone have a clue why and how to fix it please?

Damn, Windows 10 updates are still screwing around with audio? WTF is wrong with Microsoft. I've not seen so many people complain about audio issues since Vista.

Looks like Microsoft have gone backwards after Windows 7 and 8 vastly improved on Vista in more ways than just fixing the screw ups that were caused with Vista and audio.

I don't use Windows 10, partially because of the updates and the audio issues they bring for some people. I don't know if a system restore help? or even if that's possible. I assume people on Windows 10 are forced into having these updates?

Make sure correct audio output device is selected, bitrate and format is correct and try disabling exclusive mode if applicable, etc.

Mine works good but win10 makes the volume slider change the balance not volume lol. So im on 100% volume when i install a new game.

Really hate ms tbh.

think i will try reinstalling the drivers today cos its not changed at all

Asus Soundcard? Try reinstalling the drivers, I had the same problem a few months ago.

To be fair, that's the only audio related issue I've ever had with windows 10, beyond the default output being reset when new builds installed but that's hardly an issue.

Yea the pci xonar is still going strong and it persisted through a format this problem probably might go if i try to resinstall now again.
