win2k drop shadows?

Hi all, at work (for the time being) my laptop is running WIN2K. Is there a way to apply the drop shadow to the icons so that I loose the stupid blue box around the text of each icon.

I know in WINXP this can be down through the Advanced > Performance Tab within My Computer Properties, just wondered if it was possible with WIN2K

No, cos I'd like to keep the background and turning off AD wont let me do that, thanks anyway tho
