Anyone had this before? I think its something to do with the registry? It came up when I ran an ad-aware scan. Had a quick look on the web and it mentions words that I don't really know much about like 'keylogger'.
Any feed back would be great.:)

I'm assuming you mean Bitfrost, not Bifrose?

Bitfrost is a remote administration tool. Once it's on your computer, it connects to a server and whoever owns that server has full control over your PC (i.e. can see all your files, can take screenshots of your desktop, can install a keylogger and have it send the keystrokes to them, etc).

I'd get that removed as soon as you can!

What would you use to wipe it off for certain, reinstall? Anything less severe?
Cheers.

*I have installed another 5 or 6 free anti-spyware programs last night and ran scans of everything. The programs I have are : ad-aware, spybot, spyware blaster, super antispyware, spyware terminator, a-squared free, browser hijacker retaliator and one or two others.

Am running another scan with ad-aware now.

Thanks. :) Using now. Ideally, would be a good time to move over from XP to vista64 which is sitting idle on my desk but it won't let me install it!:(

+1 for the reinstall. You don't know what it might have installed on the system - rootkits, for example. Get rid of the original infection and the subsequent, hard to detect ones could be sending your data to the whole wide world with you thinking your PC was clean.

It says that 'Setup cannot run this version of this operating system. To install windows please try and install from booting media'.
So, I tried changing booting order in bios so it would boot from cd/dvd but nothing happens and it then, after a brief pause, just boots up normally.
Had it installed last year, don't know why it won't now. I appreciate that its licensed to only one machine but that is my machine so there shouldn't be any problem.

*Think it is Bifrose and not Bitfrose, if its relevant at all.

All you need to install it is to set your bios to boot from CD then pop the disk in, it wont run from xp as xp is mainly 32bit(unless you're using 64bit xp) and wont run 64bit apps that's why its complaining when you try to install it.

^^I appreciate that already dude but thanks:) Turned out my keyboard wasn't enabled in bios so I couldn't hit a key to enable disc to install on boot.
