Win7 and connection to remote NAS - how?

We've just installed a new Windows 7 machine in an office and it won't let me connect to the NAS box in another office. The 2 existing XP machines have a shortcut on the desktop to go straight to the NAS box in the other office.

I can't get Windows 7 to see the NAS box in the other office. How do I do this please?

How are the two offices connected?

Do the machines in each of the two offices have the same IP range?
