Win7 and firefox not remembering username/password

Having to do this everytime I go on the forum, same for all other forums aswell.
This also happened in IE8 thats why I ditched it for Firefox now its happening using this browser.
 
Have youlooked at firefox settings(under tools and options) and click on the security tab and checked to see if "remember passwords for sites" is ticked?

Does it remember any passwords at all?
 
yep its checked, does sort of remember them, only have to enter username, the password then comes up. In hotmail have to enter both username and password as it dont remember anything.
 
You mean you're not staying logged in - if it's filling in your password it's clearly remembering it fine.
Did you start with a new profile on Windows 7, or copy it from elsewhere? Did it work there?
 
Worked when it was first installed, then just stopped working, did the same with IE8.
Yeah filling in Password once I have entered username, always tick remember me.
Maybee its an Win 7 bug.
Win 7 in a new install no old profiles or anything like that. everything is as it should be in options, basically default settings that normally work fine.
 
Is it happening everytime for you? I have a similar problem where websites forget that I've been signed in, but it's not everytime I return to them. Happened with Opera and Chrome as well, so it's not specific to Firefox.
 
Not its not, had it happen with IE8 aswell, but not when I first install it, happens about a week to two later.
Its weird because it kind of remembers them as I only have to type the B of my username then it fills the rest in and password too.
this is the same on all forums, but not in Hotmail. Suppose I will have to live with it, is a Beta after all.
 
Firefox definitely doesn't do this for me on Windows 7, but a) I'm not running 3.0.5 but rather a trunk nightly and b) there's no AV on that install.
