Win7 boot issue

For some reason the most recent windows updates have caused my system to stop booting.

I get the loading screen, but when its done and the login screen appears the screen just stays blank. The only solution is to do a system restore to before the updates were installed. I've tried a complete re-install but that hasnt helped as it still happens.

Anyone else encounter this problem ?

I would say try checking all your drivers are up to date before installing the update,

System is fine, until that update goes on, its 1 of 3 updates causing the problem.

Either KB973923, KB982632 or KB981793.

If i do a system restore to before those updates, windows boots fine and get the login screen.

Running windows 7 x64 (oem bought from ocuk )

Well what do those updates actually update? Sorry can't be bothered to look it up for you. But I'm sure you'll find the time and post so we can all offer help!
