Is it just me, or is the file navigation really much more confusing now in Win7.
After using XP for years and always knowing exactly where everything is kept, Win7 just confuses the **** outa me.

Files seem to be kept in numerous places at once, or somewhere on an alternate plane of existence. Not only that but my savegames for example seem to all be kept all over the place.

The way the Library works with multiple locations all being represented in one folder doens't help either.

I've been massively putting off a reformat becuase of the sheer dread I feel when it comes to the prospect of locating everything and backing it up.

I really have half a mind to go back to XP, but that screws up gaming.
I use my computer for two things, audio recording and music production, and gaming.... It just seems I'm being muscled into a situation where I'm gonna have to dual boot.

Not sure what you mean. I can find everything really easily.... all laid out quote logically. At the end of the day it is what you are used too. Give it a while and you will get used to where Windows 7 keeps things.

Your files are only in one place. But Windows 7 seems to have lots of "virtual folders" that map to the same things.

Just give it some time. You will get used to it.
