Win7 move system files

I previously had XP installed on my first hdd, I got a new hdd then partitioned it ready to install windows 7. win7 installed smoothly and runs like a dream. my only problem is that I was to delete the partition that has XP installed, but I know once I do that I will delete the system files along with it.

Is there any way of moving them and pointing Win7 to the new location? Or can Ijust delete them and reinstall them using the Win7 CD?
