this is driving me nuts now!
i have windows 7 pro trying to sync files from a qnap NAS. i have my itunes pointing to files on that share and want it to sync offline so i can use itunes away from the NAS.
i let it do its initial sync (leave it running before i go to work) and its sync'd fine by the time i get home no issue, sync center says it completed.
rebooted and now i notice that the sync center says "sync requested" (i did not request it) but it doesnt do anything past that, also cpu is being maxed out with svchost.exe being the culprit, ending that kills aero and stops the sync.
windows xp's behaviour i was fine with (sync on login/logout) but this seems to be trying to sync whilst im in windows and running online, but even that sync isn't working properly.
