Win7 Product key

Got some Win7 upgrades to do but doing it as fresh installs as per request from Win7 when i inserted the CD in to the XP machines.
Install gets to the product key screen but wont accept any of the product keys. Anyone else had this? Anyone know why?

Thanks for that. Just got off the phone from Microsoft and they had a similar way around it. They admitted its not right but the only way.
