Win7 repeatedly installing same drivers

Hi all,

Did a reinstall of Win7 Pro x64 last night, and since then, every time I turn my PC on, it detects and installs my USB mouse and keyboard (MX518 and G11 respectively). Any reason it should do this every time? Never happened before the format...
 
Two things you could try.

1: After the drivers have installed, go into Device Manager and uninstall the drivers for your keyboard and mouse. Then reboot. Let Windows reinstall the drivers, then reboot again and see if it happens again.

2: Alternatively, get the drivers directly from the mouse and keyboard manufacturers and install those. Make sure they are for Windows 7 64.
 
Thanks for the reply. I did what you said before you said it and called no joy. Seem to have fixed it now; reinstalled chipset drivers.
