Win7 Sound options issue

Hey guys, a slightly unusual problem ive not had before,

When i try to load sound options from control panel it has a 2min delay before it loads. After a reboot it loads instantly but if i try to open it again later on, after playing games etc. it has a 2min delay.

I do have Several sound outputs, and i have disabled all the ones i don't use, such as the ones on my GFX card. ive done this in the past and it has never caused an issue.


Has any one had this problem, ideas on how to fix it or what might be causing it?

After some more searching ive manged to find the problem and solution.

The problem is with AMD video cards. Disabling "AMD High Definition Audio Device" (The audio for the HDMI ports on the video cards) fixed the problem, In device manager.

Shouldn't happen, I'd update your on board drivers and amd gfx drivers.
