win7: windows media player ,video ends, screen doesnt turn off

hello, after watching a movie and falling asleep, the screen doesnt turn off itself like it does normally. i am not running any other special program during that time.
any ideas?

WMP is set by default to disable the screensaver while it is active, have a wonder around the options in WMP and you'll find a tickbox to sort it out.

I dont think thats the issue Bloody, if you untick that, when watching a video the screensaver would kick in...

exactly.
this would work fine under vista without that option checked, and sometimes it works fine so i am wondering if its another issue.
