I have had windows 7 for 5 weeks now and I'm very happy with it on the whole.
The only problem I have is that the Windows Media Player Network sharing serving takes up daft amounts on resources for no apparent reason.
When it is running "wmpnetwk.exe" takes some CPU (not much) and 2.8GB of memory...anyone know why?
I have disabled the server for now, I can still share all my media to my xbox though so that begs the question what does wmpnetwk.exe actually do?
Is there a known fix other than just turning off the service?
