Win8 apps wont open?

Need some advice here guys. Installed win8 over win7 and first I couldn't get amd drivers to work. So uninstalled them, they I couldn't get the driver to install need to set installer to windows XP :confused:

Now when I try and open any metro app it starts to open then just close back to start screen?

Anyone understand what is happening here?

Did apps ever work, and I don't understand what you have done?
This isn't a net/notebook is it?

Never worked at all

Im taking it, it is gfx card drivers you have issue with?
What's the resolution set to? It could be to low to support apps if you haven't got a comparable driver.

Driver is now installed, Am running 1080p the apps dont give the error you get when running in low res.
I get no error I click on an app say store, it flips like it opening then nothing closes back to start menu.

Only thing left is a repair install.

Got an error for each time I open an app.

App winstore_cw5n1h2txyewy!Windows.Store did not launch within its allotted time.

I dont understand what they mean.

Looking on google it seems to be an error related to group policy's/domain join, but I'm assuming you aren't joined to a domain?

My anti-virus software needed updating LOL Avast
